Shailene Woodley, Theo James Prepare For 'Allegiant Part 1' Following 'Insurgent' Box Office Success; Movie On The Hunt For Extras, Actors

With the box-office success of "Insurgent," Shailene Woodley and Theo James are now preparing to film "Allegiant Part 1," with the production on the hunt for more extras and cast to compliment the two leads.

According to Box Office Mojo, the "Insurgent" already grossed $223,711,529 in worldwide ticket sales, from a budget of $110 million. Domestic sales comprise 46.3% of the revenues at $103,511,529.

According to producer Todd Lieberman, in a piece from the Global Dispatch, "Allegiant Part 1" will pit the characters of Shailene Woodley and Theo James into a "whole different world."

"I don't want to promise too much, but I can say that the things that we've talked about have been very, very cool," he said. "There's going to be some really mind-blowing visuals. Those who have read the book know where it goes. It goes into a whole different world, and we're really excited to explore that."

"CL Casting is looking for a ton of actors, models, and talent to work on the upcoming Divergent Series sequel," Project Casting said. "Filming will take place in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Currently, casting directors are looking for athletes, police officers, fit people, and people with visible muscles. Those that are selected will go to a bootcamp and tactical training for the upcoming feature film."

Shailene Woodley and Theo James will reprise their roles as Tris and Four, respectively, on "Allegiant Part 1." The film is directed by Robert Schwentke and scheduled to be released on March 18, 2016.

The story description reads, "Beatrice Prior and Tobias Eaton venture into the world outside of the fence and are taken into protective custody by a mysterious agency known as the Bureau of Genetic Welfare. They discover the unknown truths of their real world in the first part of the thrilling ending to the Divergent Series."
