Emma Watson's Live-Action 'Beauty And The Beast' Comes With A Touch Of 'Frozen?' Disney Film Boasts Celebrity Packed Cast

Josh Gad, the comedian who voiced Olaf in "Frozen," is reportedly joining the Emma Watson live action-starrer, "Beauty in the Beast."

"Gad is the first American to join the project which already has Brits Emma Watson cast as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast/Prince, and Luke Evans as the vain villain Gaston," said The Hollywood Reporter. "Gad will play Le Fou, the buffoonish and loyal sidekick to the manly hunter Gaston, a character that was specifically created for the 1991 movie."

Josh Gad has seen his star rise after playing Olaf in "Frozen." He also starred in "Wedding Ringer" with Kevin Hart and Kaley Cuoco.

"He currently co-stars in the new FX series 'The Comedians' opposite Billy Crystal and will next be seen on the big screen opposite Adam Sandler and Peter Dinklage in Sony's 'Pixels,'" said Broadway World.

Josh Gad is also expected to reprise his role as Olaf in the sequel to "Frozen."

Disney issued a statement which reads, "After months of speculation, Bob Iger, John Lasseter and actor Josh Gad (voice of Olaf) announced from the stage that Frozen 2 is officially in development at Walt Disney Animation Studios."

"The film will reunite the Oscar-winning filmmaking team behind Frozen, including director Chris Buck, director/writer Jennifer Lee and producer Peter Del Vecho. A release date and production details are yet to be announced."

Earlier, Emma Watson confirmed that "Downtown Abbey" actor Dan Stevens will play the Beast in the live action film, "Beauty and the Beast."

Emma Watson tweeted a photo of Dan Stevens looking very surprised along with the caption, "Could not be more happy that this man will be Beast!!! Welcome aboard @thatdanstevens #beautyandthebeast."

On Jan. 26, Emma Watson announced on her Facebook that she's going to play Belle in "Beauty and the Beast" reboot. "I'm finally able to tell you... that I will be playing Belle in Disney's new live-action Beauty and the Beast! It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to 'Be Our Guest' and sing 'Something There'. My six year old self is on the ceiling - heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can't wait for you to see it. Emma xx."
