There have been rumors that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are secretly dating but recent reports claim that this secret liaisons might have come to an end.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder decided to quit "dating" as "The Anomaly" actor's wedding day to Nikki Reed nears.

The report says, "In fact, some of our sources are saying that as Ian's wedding to Nikki Reed gets closer and closer, the relationship between Ian and Nina has gotten more difficult."

Early this year, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder dating news surfaced as rumors claim they are seeing each other behind Nikki Reed's back.

The report said "The Roommate" actress has secretly wished that she would get back together with her former boyfriend but since he has a new girlfriend, their friendship had to take a step back.

Meanwhile, Ian Somerhalder's wife-to-be is reportedly insecure of "The Vampire Diaries" actress.

Reportedly, the feelings stem from their closeness on set which is inevitable as "The Roommate" actress and "The Anomaly" actor are playing a couple onscreen, International Business Times' report said.

The 26-year-old actress and her ex-boyfriend are recently making scenes for "The Vampire Diaries" which included making out, kissing, and having intimate moments.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have been dating for several years before they decided to break up in 2013.

Last year, Ian Somerhalder went public with his relationship with  27-year-old "Twilight" star Nikki Reed. They announced their engagement earlier this year.

Though the exact date of their wedding is not yet confirmed, the future husband-and-wife are rumored to be eyeing an intimate ceremony with only their family and close friends.

Out of courtesy, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed reportedly invited the "Perks of Being a Wallflower" star to the wedding but Nina Dobrev respectfully declined the invitation.
