‘Game Of Thrones’ Cast To Welcome Ed Sheeran? ‘Thinking Out Loud’ Crooner Will ‘Hound’ Producers To Have Role In The Series

The "Game of Thrones" cast might soon welcome Ed Sheeran after he recently confirmed that he indeed got an offer to star in the hit HBO series. According to the "Photograph" hit maker, he was approached three years ago to have a role in the show.

However, he told the Sun that his tours conflicted with the show's filming schedules.

"There were talks ages ago of me being an extra, which could have been cool. But every time they shoot it's the time I tour in the UK."

Nonetheless, the "Game of Thrones" cast might soon have Ed Sheeran's participation because of the crooner's free time this year: "But I've got that time off this year, so I'm going to hound them."

The "Lego House" singer wouldn't be the first musician to appear in the fantasy show. In 2013, Coldplay's drummer Will Champion as well as Snow Patrol's vocalist Gary Lightbody each had cameos.

Ed Sheeran can already take pride in his television show experiences. Recently, he filmed scenes for the Australian soap "Neighbours." He recently had a cameo too in the famed children's show "Sesame Street."

In the said "Sesame Street" episode, the "A Team" singer delivered a performance on how children should behave at school and at home.

"At home I can speak where I please. I can talk real loud into the breeze," Sheeran sings alongside Elmo, Cookie Monster and other puppets from the show. "In school I raise my hand in the air if there's something that I want to share."

The "Game of Thrones" cast members will not have a difficult time adjusting to Ed Sheeran's presence because the latter admitted that he's friends with Maisie Williams and Kit Harington who play the roles of Arya Stark and Kit Harington in the show.

"If you watch the Glastonbury footage of my gig, Maisie's on someone's shoulders the whole time," he told the Sun newspaper.

"Game of Thrones" airs every Sunday night on HBO.
