Robert Pattinson And FKA Twigs Engaged: Four Reasons Why They’re Compatible, Despite The Haters

Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs have faced their fair share of haters when the public found out that the two were dating. Now that they're engaged, it's time to take a look at the face-value reasons why Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are compatible, despite the haters.

1. They're both British. Robert Pattinson was born in London in 1986 and FKA Twigs (born Tahliah Debrett Barnett) took her first breath in 1988 in Gloucestershire, about 100 miles outside of London.

2. They're both Catholic. FKA Twigs attended St. Edward's School, Cheltenham, a private Catholic school. In an interview, Robert Pattinson admitted that, as a method actor, he abstained from sex to prepare for his role in "The Twilight Series," and mentioned that he was Catholic.

3. FKA Twigs and Robert are creative. Twigs is a musician, with an album that has been on the UK Albums Chart and the U.S. Billboard 200. Robert is an actor and a producer, and was named one of TIME magazine's 100 Most Influential People in The World.

4. Both are musicians. Twigs has released an album and Pattinson composes and plays his own music. He sang in the "Twilight" film series, which also featured one of his songs on the soundtrack.

Getting engaged seems to have only fueled the hate these two have received ever since they're relationship was made public in September.

But Twigs explained that she doesn't allow the backlash get to her.

"I really enjoy the fun of putting something out and people liking it or hating it or talking about it, but vacuous attention, it feels disgusting. It's like a hangover," the 26-year-old singer-songwriter told USA Today.

"It's weird, I know that's not really because of me or what I'm doing," the "Two Weeks" singer added, but "the positivity that I get from (my relationship) makes the more challenging aspects...very worth it."

The London-based singer was also hit with a wave of racist abuse online from Pattinson's younger fans, Us magazine reports.

"I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week," FKA twigs tweeted at the time. "Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it's unacceptable online." She now adds to USA Today: "[They're] 14-year-old kids that should be in bed."
