In the penultimate episode, it was revealed that Mellie was, in fact, Foxtail before the major cliffhanger when she was introduced to Rowan Pope. With the development fans are awaiting "Scandal" season 4 spoilers particularly on whether they are going to unite to take down a common enemy, in this case Olivia Pope.

The synopsis for "Scandal" season 4 finale reveals spoilers as it reads, "When you dance with the devil, you will get burned. Everything comes to a head in the shocking season finale when Olivia and the team finally make some big moves to take down Command."

In addition, in the final episode, the results of the elections and Mellie's future are going to be revealed. At this point, it would be safe to say that Mellie would win, just to make life harder for Olivia and the rest of the Gladiators.

But with "Scandal," there's really no safe bet.

Hollywood Life said that Shonda Rhimes has proven that she's not averse to killing a beloved character in the death of McDreamy for "Grey's Anatomy," and she might do it again in "Scandal."

"As we all know, Shonda Rhimes holds the key to all of our TGIT hopes and dreams. She shocked us all with Derek Shepherd's shocking demise on Grey's Anatomy this season, so is she ready to drop a startling death on us Gladiators?" it said.

Kerry Washington already teased some spoilers for the "Scandal" season 4 finale in a conversation with creator Shonda Rhimes that she shared with Variety.

"This finale episode, I mean, I just... I turned to Shonda [Rhimes]. I was like, 'Where do we go from here? Are you for real? Now what?' It's crazy," she said.

Darby Stanchfield also revealed during the Directors Guild of America panel that in the finale, "The structure of everything explodes."

Did she mean literally? "Uhhh... maybe."
