Tina Fey Undresses At The David Letterman Show; Offends Audience Members?

Tina Fey fans have been rejoicing on the internet recently.

This is after the comedienne guested on the "Late Show" with David Letterman and wore a special outfit for the host.

The 44-year-old wore a tight blue dress with black embelishments. She told the host that she does not usually dress up nicely for talk show guestings such as the one where she was at. However, she did the opposite that night because of her respect for the 68-year-old, veteran host.

"I dress up like this out of respect for you," said the actress/comedienne. "What, am I going to put on a dress for Jimmy [Fallon]? That's creepy. He's like my brother. What, I'm going to wear special underwear for James Corden?"

After which she shocks the entire audience including the show's host himself, Letterman. "Because this is my last time wearing a fancy dress on a talk show and conforming to gender norms out of respect for you," Fey added. "My gift to you is I want to give you the dress."

Her line made the audience cheer as David helped unzip her dress. Beneath it, Tina was wearing Spanx that had the words "Bye Dave" printed on the front and "#LastDressEver" at the back, particularly at her bum part. She then bends over to give the audience a clearer view of the words printed on the back side and send the whole studio laughing.

"Bye America!" she said as she candidly tried to cover up using her hands.

After her skit, rumors surfaced that some audience members didn't find it funny, in fact, they allegedly found it offensive. Fans said that Fey's undressing, although intended for comedy, is not appropriate for live TV.

As to why Fey did it, fans are thinking that there isn't really anything that might cause her to do it aside from just pulling off a few laughs. However, some speculate that a new project might be in the works.
