Ever since the romance between Stefan and Elena, "The Vampire Diaries" fans have always been clear that developing relationships is something they're interested in.

Unfortunately, there's rarely agreement about who should be with who.

Nevertheless, Bamon fans may be in for a treat heading into "The Vampire Diaries" season seven. With the absence of Ian Somerhalder's on-screen girlfriend Nina Dobrev, the character of Damon will certainly need a shoulder to lean on. It has not been confirmed yet, but in the very least, Bonnie actress Kat Graham in on the board for a relationship with Damon.

Graham recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about a possible on-screen relationship with Somerhalder.

"I'm a fan of anything with Ian. I'm hoping that they can explore that really sort of layered relationship. I've always been a fan of for them," said Graham.

Even if it's ultimately not a Bamon relationship, Graham further explained that she definitely thinks Bonnie deserves to explore her sexuality.

"I'm all about exploring characters' sexuality and stuff like that and I'm hoping that Bonnie, through her new empowerment, will start to discover another side of herself as well, maybe something that hasn't really been a focus on the show."

"The Vampire Diaries" season seven may be a long ways away, but after the shocking reveal that Nina Dobrev would not be returning, it seems logical that almost anything will be possible in the new season. Add in the fact that Bonnie and Damon spent plenty of time getting closer in the prison world, and it certainly appears to be the next possible romance other than Stefan and Caroline.

Whatever happens, one thing is for certain: Since Jeremy left, Bonnie's love life has definitely been lacking. Here's hoping the actress get the chance to explore new aspects of her character in the upcoming season.

"The Vampire Diaries" season six finale will premiere Thursday on the CW.
