Kate Gosselin talked about her kids and being a single mom. According to a report from Radar Online, TLC's "Kate Plus Eight" star said she is doing her best amid all her haters.  

Kate Gosselin and her kids have been under the public eye when they starred on the TLC reality series "Jon and Kate Plus Eight." After the TV star split with her husband Jon Gosselin, their reality series became "Kate Plus Eight" and focused on Kate Gosselin single-handedly raising her kids.  

During mother's day weekend, the reality star opened up about being a single mom to her 14-year-old twins Cara and Mady, plus 11-year-old sextuplets Hannah, Collin, Alexis, Joel, Aaden and Leah.

"I went to nursing school so I could have better knowledge to take care of my kids and so I could support them if need be," she explained.

"That was the sole reason I went. Everything was geared towards all I wanted to be was a mom."

The "Kate Plus Eight" star admitted that everything became very hectic when the sextuplets were born.

"I don't like that feeling of being outnumbered, because outnumbered is feeling out of control and that's scary to me," she said.

"Only so many things are controllable when you have that many kids and there was only one of me every week."

Kate Gosselin also said that she worries about her kids becoming teenagers all at the same time.

"I try not to borrow trouble from the future because at one time I couldn't picture having two 14-year-olds and six 11-year-olds," the TLC reality star said.

"I can't picture having eight teenagers in my house."

Kate Gosselin admitted that people have been critical about her parenting methods. "I know the world is now watching me parent alone," she said.

"The criticism has been very harsh, the accusations have been insanely hurtful and absurd. But the bottom line is, I know I am doing the best for my children first and foremost."

"I'm always doing the best that I know how ... have your opinions cause no one does everything right."
