The Vamps Heartbroken Over Zayn Malik Quitting One Direction; Band Dedicates Song To Former 1D Member

It seems that Directioners are not the only ones heartbroken over Zayn Malik quitting from One Direction. Recently, The Vamps jokingly admitted that the 22-year-old's decision made them weep.

"We all cried I think. We were quite down about it. We all had a hug," said member Connor Ball to IBTimes UK at the "Up All Night" movie premiere in London.

When the publication asked them if they're in contact with Zayn Malik following their tribute song for him, Bradley Simpson said, "We haven't, I mean it was a pretty awful cover on our behalf."

Last March, members of The Vamps got inspired to recreate their hit song "Oh Cecilia" because of Zayn Malik quitting from One Direction.

"Zayn Malik, you're breaking my heart, you've left Louis, Liam, Niall, and Harry. I turn my laptop on, One Direction look wrong/Why would you do this for me?" the boys sang on Radio 1.

The Vamps members are currently working on their new album, which will reportedly have a Nov. 27 release. Like them, the remaining members of One Direction are also working on their fifth album.

The boys are allegedly determined to make their album successful sans Zayn Malik.

"The boys have gotten closer and want to prove more than ever that they will be as successful without him. They now want their next album to be the best yet. Zayn is dead to them," an insider told Hollywood Life.

The report is yet to be confirmed because during one of the band's recent tours, Liam Payne promised fans that he's okay with Zayn Malik.

Zayn Malik quit from One Direction in the middle of the Asian leg of the boys' "On The Road Again" tour. He claims that he wants to be a normal 22-year-old who gets to enjoy life away from the spotlight.
