"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder is surely enjoying the married life. He tied the knot with Nikki Reed late last month at the romantic Tuscali Mountain Inn in Topanga, California.

When asked by E! News how he feels about being married, "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder said, "Amazing. It's great. It's the best time I've ever had."

The 36-year-old also gushed about the "Twilight" actress on his Instagram account. He shared a shirtless picture of him with Nikki Reed. The caption read: "Feet back on US soil aka... New York City. Dreaming of the Costa Rica rainforest. Thank you to this beautiful country: it's land and its people. Thank you to this beautiful woman who makes every day a dream come true. Pura Vida (sic)."

Meanwhile, some fans are wondering if "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder would comment on his ex Nina Dobrev's well-wishes for him and Nikki Reed.

For years, speculations have risen that Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are not in good terms following their break-up.

The Canadian beauty finally decided to break her silence about her alleged bitterness.

"I've said this before, that we didn't break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn't love or friendship," Nina Dobrev told E! Online.

Despite dating for three years, the "Let's Be Cop" star insisted to the publication that she's still friends with her ex.

"I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he's great and I care about him. And that didn't change. Yes, we're professional and that's fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now."

Nina Dobrev also told US Magazine that the couple's wedding was "beautiful."

"They look happy and I am happy, and so I don't see why there should be a problem with that...Of course, we're on a teen drama show, everyone's going to look for drama ... I just ignore it," she added.
