Louis C.K. SNL Monologue 2015: Comedian Talked About Child Molesting And Israel; Did He Go Too Far With This One?

Louis C.K. hosted Saturday Night Live's last episode for its season.

The comedian, dressed in his signature black t-shirt and jeans ensemble, took to the SNL stage to open with a line that thanks all the viewers for sticking with the show after 40 years. After which he began his skit.

"I was born in 1967, and so I grew up in the 70's," he began, "So I'm not racist. However, I do have mild racism. It's the best I could do coming out of the 70's beacuse that was a very racist decade." He then gave a few examples of how his "mild racism" manifests during his daily life.

After which he goes to the topic of the Middle East. He compared the war happening as something that is similar to how he used to talk to his two children when they were first starting to fight. Now that they're a little older and the fights between them became more constant, Louis said that he would not bother to fix it anymore, instead he'd just go to their room and scold them about how noisy they are when they fight. He then said that his kids are like Israel and Palestine, and that he's like America.

"The little one's like palestine 'coz she always gets screwed," he added. "The older one is like Israel."

After the topic of Middle East, Louis C.K. moved to the topic of child molesters. He said that in the 70's, child molesters were treated differently by their neighbors, they were more lax about their existence and would just warn the kids about passing by their house.

He said that child molesters are "very tenacious people." He points out that one of the worst reasons to get caught for jail is child molesting, yet these molesters still do it. After pointing it out, he came to the conclusion that maybe it must be really good for the molesters. "From their point of view, it must be amazing to risk so much," he said.

After the video aired, numerous viewers took to their social media accounts to express negative reactions towards Louis C.K's SNL monologue. They said that bringing up the topic of racism and child molesting was too much as these topics are "too sensitive to even joke about."
