'Winds Of Winter' Spoilers Leak As Release Date Still Unconfirmed; Daenerys Targaryen Meets Match In Stannis Baratheon?

The "Winds of Winter" release date is still in limbo but speculations and fan theories are teasing spoilers for the George R. R. Martin's novel.

According to iDigital Times, the "Dance of Dragon," the subject of season 5 of "Game of Thrones," showed Stannis still trying to wrest what he thought was rightfully his, the Iron Throne. But he's stuck in the snow in the north.

"Daenerys is going to head back to Westeros in Winds of Winter," it said. "She is soon going to have a new khalasar and a giant war in Slaver's Bay on her hands, but her work in Meereen is nearly done-the city is basically a wreck at this point."

"And when she does, or if Aegon succeeds in taking Storm's End, the Lannisters are in deep, deep trouble," the "Winds of Winter" spoilers added.

"Kevan is dead. Cersei is disgraced, and faces trial by combat. Whether she wins or loses it, her hold on affairs of state is very tenuous already, and it will only be compounded by her continuing bad decisions."

It's almost inevitable that Daenerys will take over Westeros, but Stannis reportedly still stands in her way to rule over all the kingdoms especially if all the North will be behind him.

The only question is if he acknowledges Daenerys as the rightful heir or will he challenge her rule, said the "Winds of Winter" spoilers.

Fans will have to wait until next year to know for certain as George R. R. Martin has not yet revealed the release date for "Winds of Winter."

However, the author has some good news to offer as he said that he wanted to finish the "Winds of Winter" release just before the air date of the "Game of Thrones" season 6, which would place the timeline at the end of this year or early 2016.
