The Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev is  moving on from her failed relationship with Ian Somerhalder as she is rumored to be dating DJ Zedd. However, "The Roommate" actress reportedly does not want to hurt the feelings of her close pal Selena Gomez who was in a relationship with the German "Stay the Night" hitmaker.

According to a report from The Hollywood Life, the Canadian-Bulgarian beauty might be dating Selena Gomez's ex-boyfriend Zedd after they were spotted getting cosy on a sweet Instagram post.

Selena Gomez's ex-boyfriend said in the caption, "Thank you for teaching me your selfie tricks @ninadobrev. My eyes couldn't find the camera lens though.

A source from the gossip site said that the "Find You" DJ thinks Ian Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend is hot and would definitely "date her in a heartbeat."

However, the insider added that they are just friends because Nina Dobrev is good friends with "Come & Get It" singer Selena Gomez, International Business Times report said.

"A few things are holding stuff back. He is scared to be in the tabloids again and she doesn't want to upset Selena," the source said.

The Hollywood Life report also noted that 26-year-old actress Nina Dobrev and Selena Gomez have been friends for years and that "The Vampire Diaries" actress is honoring their friendship by not dating her former flame.

"The former Vampire Diaries star has been besties with Selena for a couple years, and female friendships are always more important than boys. Always."

Rumors emerged that Nina Dobrev is dating Zedd following the DJ's breakup with Selena Gomez last month and Ian Somerhalder's marriage with Nikki Reed.

After her split with her "The Vampire Diaries" co-star in 2013, Nina Dobrev has also been linked with few Hollywood stars like Orlando Bloom, Liam Hemsworth and Dominic Howard.

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez now reportedly wants to get back together with her on-and-off boyfriend, Justin Bieber, after her brief romance with the half-Scottish DJ.
