"I'm really lucky I have an amazing support system and lovely people in my life who have given me the support and guidance to have been given this wonderful opportunity," Winter wrote on her feed.

"Most importantly, I want to thank @shanelle_gray and my father or their special support regarding this matter, I really couldn't have done it without them," Winter added.

"Thank you to all of my family, friends, and fans who have supported me through all of my endeavors in life, and have encouraged me," the "Modern Family" star continued. "Thank you for making my life so special! I can't wait to embark on my new adventures."

Fans received the news with delight as thousands of replies came rushing to Ariel's feed, most of them are congratulatory messages for her recent success in the custody battle.

It can be recalled that Ariel Winter has been involved in a lengthy battle for her own custody. Her sister, Shanelle Gray, has been the 17-year-old actress' guardian and protector ever since authorities found out about the emotional abuse that Ariel was experiencing with her own mother, Chrisoula Workman.

A battle for custody soon ensued, and as being reported currently, ended with Ariel's sister, Shanelle, gaining full custody of her sister.
