One Direction’s New Album To Have Hip-Hop Vibe? Songwriter Jamie Scott Reveals Exclusive Details Including Zayn Malik’s Real Reason For Quitting

One Direction's new album will be realeased by Christmas and despite rumors that the boys will embrace a hip-hop vibe, songwriter Jamie Scott said that the band's music will not change.

"They are definitely not going hip-hop as reported. Since we wrote Story of My life on the third album none of the rules have changed and this album will be the same," he told the Sunday People.

Jamie Scott believes that the winning formula of the previous albums is that the boys get to be themselves. The 32-year-old, however, did not disclose if One Direction's new album would feature a song about Zayn Malik's quitting.

The 22-year-old quit the phenomenal band last March because he wanted to live away from the spotlight. Jamie Scott said that it was the band's non-stop touring which made Zayn Malik reach his breaking point.

"Zayn went because he'd had enough. Have you ever been on the road for four years? These guys aren't at home. There is no way the same thing is going to run through all five guys, that they're all going to want to be on the road so much together," he said. "Eventually he got to a point where he'd had enough."

Jamie Scott also said that people should not churn out theories about Zayn Malik's quitting because the reason was simple.

He said, "It was, 'OK, I don't want to be in this band any more'. It was that simple, it was human instinct kicking in. People want it to be complicated and have secret reasons but that is what it was."

Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Harry Styles are determined to continue what they have started. Next month, the boys will be performing in Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. They are also scheduled to have 23 concerts in America and Canada.

Another rumor which Jamie Scott addressed was Harry Styles' alleged "leadership" in the band.

"Harry is not the boss. I would say that they don't have a boss," Scott revealed. "If they did, they wouldn't be together now because that boss wouldn't survive. They each have their roles."

Apart from talking about One Direction's new album, he also assured fans that the boy group will not disband in the near future.

"As long as the music is not dying and they're crossing over to older fans, there is no reason to break up and they want to go on and keep the ride going."
