Amy Schumer has been officially asked by ABC to be its next 'Bachelorette."

The comedian recently made a surprise guest appearance on the show, where she brought in fellow comedians Nikki Glaser, Rachel Feinstein and Bridget Everett  to try to tutor some of Kaitlyn's suitors about stand-up comedy.

 The other half of the suitors headed over to a boxing ring with Laila Ali.

But while the comedy training seemed unsuccessful, Amy did school one of the suitors when he became too cocky. JJ, one of the contestants on the reality show, explained to Schumer that he feels that he is "smarter than 90 percent of the audience."

"JJ's a sweetheart," Schumer said later on. "He's just missing, like, charisma, humility and sense of humor." Schumer proceeded to tell JJ that his jokes were not funny, and that he is in fact, not smarter than everyone else.

Schumer's cameo on the show was a huge hit. Fans went on social media to express their delight on the comedian's stint on "The Bachelorette."

People were either asking the comedian to do a regular commentary on the show, or else be the next "Bachelorette."

Jenelle Riley, writer for Variety tweeted, "Oh God ABC please pay @amyschumer whatever she wants to do weekly #bachelorette commentary."

Even the creator of "The Bachelor" joined in on the campaign. "@amyschumer for next season's Bachelorette. Big time TV/movie stars are dime a dozen! C'mon, Amy! #draftAmy"

ABC took no time in taking action, when Schumer's appearance went viral on social media. Robert Mills, senior vice president of  alternative series for ABC extended an "official" invitation to Schumer via Twitter. He tweeted,  "OK here is the official offer to @amyschumer to become #TheBachelorette. Just say yes and we start tomorrow. #DraftAmy"
