Chris Brown's daughter recently turned one year old. According to a report from Mirror UK, the "Loyal" singer posted a birthday tribute for his child, Royalty, amid an ongoing child support battle with the baby's mother, Nia Guzman.

Chris Brown greeted his daughter by posting an Instagram photo showing Royalty sticking her tongue out at the camera.

"Happy birthday to my lil' lady Royalty! I love you," Chris Brown wrote along with cake and heart emojis.

According to a report from TMZ, Chris Brown's daughter is in the middle of a feud between the R&B superstar and Nia Guzman.
The hitmaker has been reportedly paying $2,500 a month in child support. However, Nia Guzman is supposedly asking for $15,000, which Chris Brown allegedly thinks is "ridiculous."

As a result, Royalty's mother is reportedly demanding Chris Brown to pay the amount that she specified by slamming the singer with legal orders.

A source revealed to Hollywood Life how Chris Brown's support for his daughter will not include financing Nia Guzman's frivolous expenses.

"[Chris] knows that she has bills to pay out there in Texas and that's why he sends her money even when Royalty's with him," the source explained.

"What he's not going to do is send his hard earned money to Nia so she can buy clothes and take care of her lazy boyfriend!"

The report also detailed how Chris Brown spends a lot of time with his daughter amid his hectic schedule.

"[Chris has] virtually [been spending] all his time with Royalty," an insider pointed out. The Grammy winner even bought Royalty along during the recently concluded Billboard Music Awards.

The time that Chris Brown spends with his daughter is supposedly among one of his reasons for not paying the child support amount specified by Nia Guzman.

"Chris doesn't feel like he needs to give Nia every cent of the $2,500 when Royalty's with him and [his mother]," an insider said.

"To him, that doesn't make sense. If Chris has [Royalty] for a month or so, there's no need to give Nia all that money."
