Nina Dobrev Angry ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Renewed Without Her? Departure ‘Breathe New Life’ Into CW Series?

Nina Dobrev has left "The Vampire Diaries" because she wanted to move on to other things. But a new report claimed that she's fuming over the fact that the CW Network renewed the series even without her.

"Right before the Season 6 finale, Nina Dobrev announced that she was quitting The Vampire Diaries and moving on to a movie career," said Celebrity Dirty Laundry.

"Dobrev was certain that the show would be cancelled without her, and she thought it would be the ultimate revenge on her ex-boyfriend and former co-star Ian Somerhalder. But Nina's plan seems to be going awry."

Season 7 of "The Vampire diaries" is expected to be aired in the fall.

Showrunner Julie Plec teased "The Vampire Diaries" spoilers as he said that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will really have a chance to embrace his demon side now that Elena (Nina Dobrev) has been locked in a coffin.

She said, "He now has more freedom to kind of be messy with his choices. I think you'll see a darker Damon with the sort of wisdom of his experience, but a freedom to act out as he may feel like he needs to."

CDL said that ironically, Nina Dobrev's quitting "The Vampire Diaries" was the best thing to happen to the series in recent years.

"Nina's departure seems to have breathed new life into the primetime drama, and her character's exit opened up a whole new world of possibilities when it comes to storylines," it said. "As if seeing Nikki and Ian get married wasn't excruciating enough, now Nina has to sit back and watch the show and Ian be a success without her."

Nasty rumors continue to surround Nina Dobrev's leaving "The Vampire Diaries" as the tabloid reports alleged that the real reason was she couldn't bear to look at her ex, Ian Somerhalder, and wife Nikki Reed-who used to be one of her best friends-getting cozy on the set.
