Adam Lambert Prefers Dating Openly Gay People; Singer Talks About Queen's Brian May And Roger Taylor

"American Idol" alum Adam Lambert isn't keen on dating somebody who hasn't come out of the closet yet as the Queen frontman talked highly about his experience while touring with rock and roll icons Brian May and Roger Taylor.

"I dated some actors but they weren't famous. In my single Ghost Town I'm referring to how LA and the industry can really take its toll," he said.

"Actors and entertainers can't be open about their sexuality and it's hard to live that life. It's difficult to date someone who's so worried about their reputation," Queen frontman Adam Lambert added on his thoughts about dating.

"I don't think I could date anyone in the closet again."

Adam Lambert had a high-profile relationship with Finnish TV presenter Sauli Koskinen but the former couple split in 2013 after three years together purportedly due to their busy schedules.

"Sauli and I remain really good friends, and I know it's a cliché thing to say. But it's totally true," the "American Idol" star said then of his breakup.

Earlier this year, Adam Lambert revealed that he dated Hollywood actors who are not openly gay which had the tabloids speculating on their identities. But the Queen frontman added that they are not really very famous actors.

Although the former "American Idol" alum is single now, Adam Lambert is not about to find somebody on the Internet through dating app sites.

"I can't do dating apps," he said. "The magic happens for me when you flirt in real-life. Once I've had a few tequilas, I'm a good flirt."

Meanwhile, he talked about the highly successful Queen + Adam Lambert tour and how it was touring with old rock and rollers.

"Roger Taylor is more of a party animal than me but the boys were great," he said. "Brian May [left] can get into the wine too. I got to go on their private plane, which was exciting. They would tell me good stories about their glory days. They had some fun in the early 80s."
