Amber Rose, the ex-wife of Wiz Khalifa, opened up about being submissive in her previous relationships. In a feature with Cosmopolitan, the former spouse of the "Black and Yellow" rapper also talked about focusing on social media and opened up about her past as a stripper.

"I did always feel like I had to be completely submissive to a man," the skinhead model said.

"I was always very unhappy doing that. I think I needed time to grow up."

"You get to a certain point in your life where you really find out who you are, and sometimes that happens when you're 25, but for me, it was 31. I didn't quite know that before," the ex-girlfriend of Kanye West added.

The year-long marriage of Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa ended in a bitter divorce last year, leading to a highly publicized custody battle over their two-year-old son, Sebastian.

At present, Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa are reportedly on better terms and working together to raise their child even though they are no longer married.

In her interview, Amber Rose also explained how she was able to use social media as an outlet for her frustrations.

"I guess social media did help create the feminist monster that I've become," she joked.

"I think the turning point was when I just stopped giving a f--k about what people say. One day I just woke up and I was like, 'You know what? I can't sit around and stress anymore about the internet and what people say about me. I just gotta do me.'"

The separation of Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa also raised a lot of her issues from the past, including how she was a stripper when she was only 15-years-old. After starting out too young, Amber Rose went back to stripping when she was 18 and was able to keep her stint for seven years.

"I had so much fun...That was the best time of my life. All the girls were really cool. The guys weren't allowed to touch you. I was never sexually assaulted or [anything]," Amber Rose narrated.
