Is Christopher Lee Dead Or Alive? Fans Claim News To Be A Hoax! Is He Really Dead?

Questions about Christopher Lee dead or alive has surfaced the internet after news reports claimed that the 93-year-old veteran actor had died due to a heart failure and respiratory problem.

After hearing the news, fans quickly dismissed it, claiming that his death is fake. They did not site any proof as to why the news could be a hoax, but still proceeded to claim it is false.

However, new reports prove that the actor is really dead at 93. According to credible news sources like The Guardian, the veteran actor really did pass away due to respiratory and heart problems. His wife Brigit Kroencke, who is known to be a former British model, apparently withheld the information for four days. Before the Christopher Lee dead or alive news surfaced, the actor was revered to be one of the greatest living actors of all time. After his passing was confirmed, numerous celebrities and personalities expressed their grief. Bafta's chief executive, Amanda Barry was one of the many.

"I am deeply saddened by the death of Sir Christopher Lee, a truly talented and versatile actor," she wrote, according toTelegraph. "His biography, and therefore his legacy, is one that many in the film industry can only dream of."

"He appeared in over 200 films, including some of the most iconic of our times," she added. "Throughout his career, which stretched from the 1940s to date, there were so many outstanding performances - in 'Dracula,' 'The Wicker Man,' 'The Man with the Golden Gun,' to name just a few of his many credits, and more recently, the Bafta and Oscar-winning 'Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit.'"

"Sir Christopher received the Academy Fellowship, the highest honour Bafta can bestow, at the Film Awards in 2011; at the time he described it as a very unexpected but very great honour," she concluded.

Moreso, his "Lord of the Rings" co-star Elijah Wood also expressed his grief via Twitter.

"An extraordinary man and life lead, Sir Christopher Lee," he tweeted. "You were an icon, and a towering human being with stories for days. We'll miss you."

Fans who initially posted the question, "Christopher Lee Dead or Alive," have since withdrawn their claims.
