After their big fight, Chris Brown seems to have affected the fact that he's not getting back together with ex Karrueche Tran. Now, the "Loyal" singer is bent on focusing on his daughter, baby Royalty.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, as relayed by E! News, Chris Brown said that he still loves his ex Karrueche Tran but he's trying to move on from the potentially toxic situation.

"I'm going to be honest and be a man about it and just take it one day at a time," he said. "I can't promise anything and I can't jump over the moon, but it takes time for all wounds [to heal]. I take full responsibility for my actions and things that I've done in the past. I feel like it's just a time thing."

Chris Brown continued, "I'm not a hateful person. Of course I still love her, but mentally right now, I think everything takes time. I just need to focus on being the best father I can be."

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran split earlier this year after the model found out he fathered a baby while they were still together.

But the singer is trying to be positive about the whole split.

"There comes a time when people kind of have to grow up and become more of an adult and take on different responsibilities," he said of baby Royalty. "I think this was just a blessing in disguise with my daughter because I get a chance to look at her and teach her the right path and also be a father in my daughter's life."

"Just to see a smile on her face-just to see the littlest things-is emotional for me, so I just love that aspect of being able to be a father now," Chris Brown added about baby Royalty.

Last week, Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran allegedly got into a big fight that neighbors had to call in the police.

According to Gossip Cop, Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran already were seen fighting inside the Hollywood bar right after he was snapped by paparazzi getting into the SUV with the model.

"The performer later showed up at her home, demanding to speak to her," the article said. "While video has emerged of police outside Tran's home, sources tell us she did NOT call the cops."
