It has been a treat for fans of the royal heir Prince George. He has been a scene-stealer in various appearances of the royal family over the weekend. Prince George's playdate with mom Duchess Catherine of Cambridge was another one for the books.

As Prince William and brother Prince Harry participated at the Festival of Polo in Gloucestershire, Prince George was also having the time of his life on the sidelines having a Prince George playdate with Duchess Catherine and some younger cousins, according to a report on Mail Online.

The young prince was seen rolling down the hills, playing with some grass and holding a toy car while Duchess Catherine closely watched on during Prince George's playdate.

At one point, Prince George lost his balance during the playdate but he was still laughing and having fun unmindful of the game on the polo grounds. He even took a polo ball and mallet and tried to throw the ball.

"[George] was playing on the bank. He was walking up the steps and then tried sliding down the bank," photographer James Whatling told People. "The older ones like Savannah was doing it so he wanted to do it too... He was sliding down and Kate joined him, trying to support him as he did."

This is the second time that Prince George stole the show with the whole royal family present. On Saturday, during the Trooping The Color event at the Buckingham Palace, the young heir also became the apple of the eye of the crowd, according to BBC.

In his first ever balcony appearance with the royal family, Prince George was seen waving to the crowd and pointing at whatever took his fancy. Earlier during the parade, he was also seen watching from the palace windows and sticking his tongue out to the crowd.

There was no sighting though of his little sister Princess Charlotte at both the Trooping of Color and Prince George's playdate at the charity polo match. The little princess is set to be baptized on July 5.
