Sung In Kyu, former member of now disbanded group, A'st1, passed away today due to cancer.

An official commented, "Sung In Kyu passed away today at the young age of 24. His funeral is being held as well. He has been battling cancer since 2011."

A fellow member of the group, Park Jung Jin wrote on their twitter, "A member that was in the same group as me named Sung In Kyu passed away today."

He continued, "He always had a bright voice even though chemotherapy must have been hard on him. I hope that he can rest peacefully in heaven."

Sung In Kyu had revealed about his cancer back in 2011 through his personal homepage. He had written, "Starting at the beginning of April 2011, I began to have severe pains in my chest. I went to the hospital and had a CT scan done and found out that there was a tumor in my chest."

Internet users commented, "I could not believe it when I saw his name in the news", "I used to love A'Sty1's music", "I always waited for him to make a comeback", "I hope he has gone to a better place" and "I am so heartbroken. He was so young."

On the other hand, Sung In Kyu was a child actor who debuted as a singer with the group A'Sty1 in 2008.
