Ian Somerhalder reportedly unfollowed Nina Dobrev on Twitter as "The Vampire Diaries" actor's wife Nikki Reed liked a post of a basher who dissed her husband's ex-girlfriend.

In a report by Doesfollow.com, "The Vampire Diaries" actor is no longer following his ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev in micro-blogging site Twitter.

Reports are saying that "Twilight" star Nikki Reed asked her husband to unfollow his ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev after rumors came out that the former couple's friendship is still strong.

"Since Dobrev and Somerhalder's friendship is so strong, some fans think Nikki Reed might have told her husband to unfollow his ex," a report from Hollywood Take said.

It can be recalled that Nina Dobrev told E! News about the status of her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder.

"We didn't break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn't love or friendship," she explained.

Nina Dobrev added, "I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he's great and I care about him. And that didn't change. Yes, we're professional and that's fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now."

Meanwhile, Nikki Reed has allegedly "liked" an Instagram post of a basher who dissed Nina Dobrev saying that the "Twilight" star has more heart than the former "The Vampire Diaries" actress, Celebrity Dirty Laundry said in a report.

Before Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder wed two months ago, the couple dated for only six months beginning year before getting engaged early in 2015.

Prior to his romance with the "Twilight" star, Ian Somerhalder has been in a relationship with his "The Vampire Diatries" co-star Nina Dobrev until they decided to call it quits in 2013.

Since then, Nina Dobrev's love life has been relatively quiet with no confirmed boyfriend. However, recent reports claim she is moving on from her break up with Ian Somerhalder as she now allegedly dates "Whiplash" actor Austin Stowell.
