Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner have been known to be friends for quite some time now, after being at the top of their careers in modelling.

Recently, however, rumors of an alleged competition between the two have surfaced. According to fans, the two are secretly competing against each other as they are both in the same industry.

While it might seem convincing to some that a certain feud might be brewing between the two models, Hadid has disproved these claims by releasing a statement that talks about how pitting them both is absurd.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, the 20-year-old revealed that her relationship with Kendall is not affected with the fact that they are both in one cut-throat industry.

"I don't really feel competition like that," she said. "Especially in a job like this - we look different, like Hailey [Baldwin] is brunette now."

"So literally, if they want Kendall [Jenner], they're not going to want someone who looks like me," she added. "It's completely different. I think friendships are a lot more valuable than one job. If you're going to let it ruin that, then that's stupid."

Aside from Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner's relationship as friends, Hadid also talked about how she's okay with being a role model to her fans.

"My biggest thing about being a role model is whatever I'm preaching, I'm practicing," she said. "If I'm telling people I'm boxing and then I'm eating a burger tonight, it's because I am. I'm not cheating and eating a salad and then being like 'Yeah! Burgers are cool!'"

"Just do what you're telling your fans you're doing because you have to be real with them because they look up to you," she added.
