On-and-off couple Katy Perry and John Mayer were snapped while trying to go incognito when watching a concert by the Grateful Dead in Chicago over the weekend.

A photo of the "Fireworks" singer hugging the "Your Body is a Wonderland" singer from behind was published on TMZ.

"Katy Perry and John Mayer made the crowd roar at the Grateful Dead concert in Chicago Saturday night when they cuddled out loud," the report said.

Katy Perry and John Mayer announced their split about four months ago after reuniting over the holidays.

"John, 37, wore a blue bandanna on his head, dark-rimmed glasses and a stonewashed denim shirt. He also rocked a silver beaded necklace," said Daily Mail. "Katy was seen leaning in to tell the Daughters singer something as she donned a tie-dye spaghetti strapped shirt. She capped off the look with a pair of ripped blue jeans."

There were many speculations regarding the reason for the split between Katy Perry and John Mayer.

A source close to John Mayer told E! News reported that the "Your Body is a Wonderland" singer has been telling friends that he and the "Fireworks" singer are "over for good."

The article added, "Their latest breakup was not caused by Perry's touring, but rather a 'lack of emotional interest on his end.' Or to be more blunt, Mayer is telling pals he 'fell out of love with Perry but will always love her.'"

On the other hand, Grazia magazine ran an article alleging that Katy Perry was out to give John Mayer a taste of his own medicine after being on "constant jealousy" while they were together.

"When they got back together, John promised that things would be different this time, so she agreed to give him another chance, but rumors of his philandering continue," the source added.

"She decided that if he's not going to fully commit, neither will she. Her hope was that if John saw her socializing with other men, he'd see what he stands to lose."
