The previous American NBA player Dennis Rodman caught much attention when he mistook Psy as a North Korean.

Dennis Rodman posted on his Twitter on the 26th to update his fans that he had arrived in Pyeong Yang, saying "Maybe I'll run into the Gangnam Style dude while I'm here." This post was spread quickly through online community forums, pointing out his mistake.

Many commented on this post, syaing "Psy is North Korean? He's South Korean," "How could Dennis Rodman not know about Psy?," "Psy is from the South," "Is there a Gangnam in North Korea too?," "Dennis Rodman thought Psy was from North Korea," and "Is this a Diss to Koreans?"

But it has not been clarified if Dennis Rodman really thought that Psy is North Korean, or if he was simply trying to be witty.
