'Scandal' Season 5 Spoilers: Olivia, Fitz Stand Better Chance Sans Rowan; Papa Pope Blames Daughter For His Fate?

Will Olivia and Fitz now be together after it was revealed that Rowan was involved in Mellie's campaign? Spoilers for "Scandal" season 5 seem to think so. Meanwhile, Joe Morton said that Papa Pope has deflected blame on his daughter for her misfortunes.

According to the spoilers from Melty, the ideal scenario is for Olivia and Fitz to be together after the latter threw Mellie out of the White House for her involvement with Rowan.

"Now that Fitz is supposedly done with Mellie for good, he can divorce her and start dating Olivia publicly, right? We won't lie: this would be our ideal Season 5 storyline, but we know we have very high, and probably unrealistic, Scandal hopes," it said.

Then there's also Jake who apparently gave Liv her freedom to be with Fitz.

"Jake finally let Olivia go in the finale, telling her that he loves her, but that he knows she loves Fitz," the article added. "As the saying goes, if you love someone let them go, and Jake did just that."

In the last episode, not only was Mellie booted out of the White House but Cyrus as well. She was replaced by Liz North (played by Portia de Rossi who was promoted to regular) as the Chief of Staff for POTUS.

Joe Morton recently teased spoilers for "Scandal" season 5 to HNGN particularly on his character's relationship with daughter Olivia.

"It's a terrible thing if the only way your child knows that you love them is if you don't kill them," he said. "I think that's kind of where it started that... he's gotten darker and darker because he's unable to reach her in the way that he would like."

Watch out for more "Scandal" season 5 spoilers which will be published here when they come along.
