Giuliana Rancic Forced to Quit ‘E! News?' Maria Menounos Rivalry To Blame?

Giuliana Rancic is saying goodbye to her daily anchoring job on "E! News."

As reported on E! Online, Rancic was leaving "E! News" to focus on her wine and clothing line and executive producing "Rich in Faith" on Oxygen.

"For more than a decade, I was fortunate enough to play a role in the success of E! News and will miss my family at the show," she said.

"This is such a thrilling time for me and I thank the gang at E! for understanding my desire to embark on this next chapter in my life," the host added.

Despite Rancic's statement, rumors abound that she was reportedly half forced to leave the daily anchoring stint as mentioned on the report on Page Six.

"Giuliana knows it's a sinking ship and she's had an awful year. It's half her decision to leave and half getting pushed out," an insider told Page Six.

It was mentioned as well that Maria Menounos, who was rumored to be Rancic's replacement on "E! News" according to Daily News, was apparently the other reason why the decade-long E! host decided to leave.

"They've always been rivals," the Page Six source said. "Maria sees Giuliana as competition and it goes back years."

"They never speak and they won't appear on-set together," the source added. "It's kind of unspoken that if she is in the building, Giuliana wants nothing to do with her."

The year has not been well for Rancic so far as told by People. She was took a beating after she criticized Zendaya's dreadlocks during the Oscar. She later apologized but the incident caused a friction between her and "Fashion Police" co-host Kelly Osbourne. "Fashion Police" was temporarily pulled of the air as well after the incident.

Rancic will officially stop anchoring "E! News" on Aug. 10 but will remain as hosts of "Live From the Red Carpet" and "Fashion Police." The E! Network though reportedly will have more anchor changes soon, according to The Wrap

"Everything is in flux right now," a The Wrap source revealed amid the Giuliana Rancic leaving "E! News" report.

The network confirmed Rancic will stay on board the network as host of E! staples "Live From the Red Carpet" and "Fashion Police."

Numerous insiders spoke with TheWrap about the bumpy changing of the guard, which began in 2014 when Rancic extended her contract to remain an onscreen personality and managing editor of "E! News."
