JYJ Jaejoong Ranks Number 1 with 'Mine' on German Asian Music Chart

Idol group JYJ member Jaejoong ranked number 1 on the German Asian Music Chart.

Today, his agency stated that his first solo mini album title song, "Mine," had ranked number 1 on the German Asian Music Chart for the month of February.

Jaejoong pre-released his song, "One Kiss" on January 8 and in just one day, ranked number 1 in 9 countries on the iTunes chart, showing his immense popularity.

His mini album officially released on January 17. This album ranked number 2 on the U.S. Billboard chart and number 1 on Taiwan and Japan album sales charts as well. 

He also ranked number 1 for 4 weeks on the Chinese MV chart, which was the best record for a male solo artist.

Jaejoong's first solo album features a rock-theme, which is a different image from his group, JYJ. Jaejoong, who has always been a fan of rock, had always wanted to release an album that featured genres of music that he enjoyed. Many producers and rock singers worked with Jaejoong with this album as well. 

This album hit records in Japan and also topped Hanteo and Gaon charts in Korea.

He also held a special concert on January 26-27 to celebrate his new album release. 

On the other hand, on February 26, he released a repackage album, Y, which included electronic dance music and 2 additional songs. This repackage album also ranked number 2 on the Hanteo charts as well. It sold a total of 25,878 copies.

JYJ will also be attending the UNICEF ceremony as the Korea representatives on March 5.

JYJ has become a world famous idol group and is frequently recognized by media and networks all around the world. They have a huge fan base that expands even outside of Asia and is the first K-Pop idol group to perform in Chile.
