Speculations have again risen that Niall Horan's girlfriend is Selena Gomez. Hours after the former Disney star's controversial pool date with Justin Bieber at a Beverly Hills hotel, she was spotted having lunch with the One Direction member.

The couple was seen eating lunch at the Fig & Olive restaurant. One fan even managed to take selfies with the two musicians.

The outing isn't the first time that the couple was seen together. Over the years, they have dined out in London several times. The Irish crooner once said that the "Montecarlo" actress is one of his biggest celebrity crushes.

Hollywood Life reported that Taylor Swift is determined to set up the two allegedly because she wanted her best friend to forget about the "Next to You" singer:

"Selena was with Niall, they were on a date. Taylor has been pushing them to hang out again because she's doing everything she can to keep Selena off Justin. Taylor thinks Selena's relationship with Justin is an addiction. She knows how hard it is for her to break so she's trying to support her in any way she can."

It was previously rumored that Justin Bieber caused a rift between Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez. In 2014, the two best friends allegedly had a falling apart because of the "The Heart Wants What It Wants" singer's continuous association with the "Baby" hitmaker despite the heartbreak he was causing her.

Following Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's breakup, the brunette beauty has been linked to Ed Sheeran, Nick Jonas, and Orlando Bloom. E! Online even reported that after the "Who Says" songstress spent time with Justin Bieber at a Beverly Hills pool, she and her friends proceeded to the house of Miranda Kerr's ex-husband in Malibu.

Niall Horan's most recent girlfriend, on the other hand, is Melissa Whitelaw. The two dated for three months but parted ways because of the band's hectic schedule.
