Swifties seemed to be rallying behind their idol Taylor Swift after Miley Cyrus posted on Instagram a face swap of Swift and Justin Bieber.

In a report on E! Online, Cyrus' post was flooded with comments after the picture that showed Swift's face on a Bieber body and vice versa got uploaded. It was captioned "if you face swap Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift, they look like a cute lesbian couple."

According to a report on Refinery 29, it was unclear why Cyrus posted the picture. But it was mentioned that it was just only a repost and not an original collage work of the "Wrecking Ball" singer herself.

A Taylor Swift fan account though was quick to monitor the "Style" singer's reaction to the Miley Cyrus post as cited by E! Online. The account took a screenshot of Taylor Swift herself reportedly commenting to the face swap picture with "sending you love." It was not clear what the phrase meant to convey.

As reported by Buzzfeed, fans on the Grammy-winning singer quickly showed their support by flooding the post with the same "sending you love" phrase over and over. The "sending your love" comments has reached thousands in number.

This not the first time that Cyrus has tried to reportedly throw shade at Swift. Back in 2014, Hollywood Life reported that Cyrus purportedly disliked Swift.

"She thinks Taylor is stuck up and can't deal with how prissy she is," the Hollywood Life insider said.

"Miley can't stand girly girls," the insider added. "She's telling everyone that Taylor is a 'sexless, frigid ice princess' who 'bored' Harry Styles out of bed."

Prior to the Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus face swap issue, the singers have worked on various projects together. Swift had a cameo on Cyrus' "Hannah Montana: The Movie." They also performed together at the 2009 Grammys singing Swift's track "Fifteen."
