Lindsay Lohan News: Fox Network Fights Back Amid Libel Lawsuit Proves Dina Lohan’s Cocaine Use

Lindsay Lohan news reported how Fox Network fought back at the "Mean Girls" star amid their ongoing libel lawsuit. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the news channel is out to prove that Lindsay Lohan's mom, Dina Lohan, is guilty of cocaine use.

Lindsay Lohan made news earlier this year when she slammed Fox News with a lawsuit after a talk show made derogatory comments about her and her infamous "momager."

The hosts talked about how the controversial actress could follow other celebrities who died from substance abuse. The show also aired the hosts' comments about how the former Disney star and her mom did cocaine together.

While Lindsay Lohan denied the allegations, Fox News stated in court documents filed earlier this week that they can back up their claims.

"[Lindsay] Lohan herself earlier had reported to her father Michael Lohan in a frantic tape-recorded conversation heard around the world that her mother Dina had done cocaine while in a car with her coming home from a mother-daughter night of clubbing in Manhattan," legal papers read.

Fox News also defended how they called Dina Lohan an "enabler" of Lindsay Lohan's rebellious ways.

"To begin, the statement that someone is an 'enabler' - indeed, the 'biggest enabler in the world' -is a classic example of vigorous epithet and rhetorical hyperbole that is protected as opinion," argued Fox News.

The network also said that Lindsay Lohan is trying to intimidate news publications.

"[The lawsuit is a] dubious and transparent attempt to intimidate the press and public commentators from discussing individuals who for years have injected themselves into the public spotlight regarding the very matters they now claim have harmed them," the network said.

Lindsay Lohan also allegedly over reacted to the news program's heated discussion about her and Dina Lohan.

"Given the live setting and the nature of live debate, a reasonable viewer would understand that statements on the show are often made in the heat of discussion, clearly indicating that the speakers are expressing opinions, as opposed to laying out documented facts," Fox News pointed out.
