ABC Possibly In Search Of Conservative Latina To Replace The View's Joy Behar, Celeb Pundits Give Recommendations

Since Joy Behar announced her intention to leave The View after her contract with ABC ends this August, rumors have begun with numerous bloggers and celebrity pundits making their own shortlist on who should replace the comedian at the famous daytime talk show.

Infamous Hollywood blogger and tech celebrity, Perez Hilton, speculates that the network may be looking for another conservative after Barbara Walters has cleared up the rumors on Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The outspoken conservative, who has used The View as a platform at times to air her views confidently, is staying on the show and was not fired, as several press outlets reported.

Hilton says that one of Joy's possible replacements is Rachel Campos-Duffy. The faithful Catholic has six kids and was on the Real World: San Francisco. She is also married to a Republican.

Another person who is possibly in the running is Jaci Velasquez. The 33-year-old is married and has two kids, not to mention her very own radio show.

Gloria Estefan is also heard to be highly recommended by many to be Behar's replacement. The Cuban-born American singer and entrepreneur has written two children's books, The Magically Mysterious Adventures of Noelle the Bulldog (2005) and Noelle's Treasure Tale (2006). She also owns several Cuban-themed restaurants is one of the board of directors of Spanish media company, Univision Communications.

ABC has yet to comment on who would be replacing Behar. Other recommended personalities, not all of whom are conservative includes Holly Madison, Kourtney Kardashian and Kristin Cavallari.
