Lil Wayne Sizzurp Overdose - Rapper Was In Critical Condition, But Now Says He Is Fine

Lil Wayne is back in the hospital ICU Friday after overdosing on Sizzurp.  He reports he is now in recovery.
Lil Wayne suffered another seizure and was rushed back to the hospital on Friday for a Sizzurp overdose. He was admitted and released from the hospital earlier this week for the same thing.
According to TMZ, the rapper has just been stabilized after suffering a seizure and being taken to the intensive care unit. He was put in a medically induced coma as doctors tried to get a handle on the situation and save his life.

Lil Wayne sent a message out to his concerned fans a little while ago via Twitter assuring them he is fine and thanking everyone for their support and prayers.

A source close to the rapper has said that in recent years Lil Wayne has been hospitalized several times for Sizzurp related seizure attacks.
Sizzurp is an addictive drug made by combining prescription-strength cough syrup, sugary soda, and candy. The active ingredients are codeine and promethazine. Sometimes alcohol or other painkillers are added to enhance the effects.
The drink is highly addictive and it is easy to overdose.
Lil Wayne's stomach was pumped three separate times by a medical team in an effort to stop any more Sizzurp from entering his system.
He went on a Sizzurp binge after he was released from the hospital on Wednesday, according to sources. Doctors say they found elevated levels of codeine in his system.
Furthermore, reports say Lil Wayne was strapped down in restraints because of the uncontrollable shaking from continuing seizures and was urrently hooked up to breathing equipment.
His mother is reportedly en route to LA and according to TMZ, there are already several people at his bedside.

Lil Wayne has glamourized the use of Sizzurp in many of his songs, most notably the 2008 single "Me and My Drank." Sizzurp is also mentioned in "Throw Some D's," "Phone Home," "Kush," and "Watch My Shoes."
