Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman, his wife of 40 years, are back together.

Danny DeVito split with Rhea Perlman in October of last year and instead of working on his marriage, embarked on a quest to live the life of a bachelor.

But DeVito has gotten over his mid-life crisis, and has gotten back together with Perlman.

For a while, it seemed like DeVito was enjoying his single lifestyle so much that he'd never go back to his marriage. He even bought a flashy sports car to show he was living the good life.

DeVito had reportedly been cheating on his wife with other women when Perlman grew tired of his antics and kicked DeVito out.

One of DeVito's friends explained that DeVito was trying to model himself after one of Hollywood's notorious players, Jack Nicholson, according to Inquisitr.

"Danny has been embracing the single life. He is revisiting his youth and feels like a young man again and can do whatever he wants," the source said.

The source continued, "He's done his duty as a parent, raising his three kids, and now that they're adults, he's looking to cut loose."

But, word came out on Friday, March 15 that Danny DeVito had decided to reunite with Rhea Perlman.

DeVito met Perlman 40 years ago in 1982 and moved in with her when he was working on Broadway.

The couple got married while their show Taxi was appearing.

A source told Radar Online, "Danny has been moving heaven and Earth to win Rhea back - and it has worked."

"They love each other. Always have and always will," a friend of the couple told People. 

DeVito and Perlman have three children together: 30-year-old Lucy, 27-year-old Grace and 25-year-old Jacob.
