Rapper Tone Loc collapsed on stage while performing Saturday night in Iowa, the concert came to an abrupt halt. He was attended to on stage for nearly five minutes, before the audience was asked to leave and ushered out by security.

Loc collapsed while finishing up a song at the Court Avenue bridge over the Des Moines River, according to Des Moines Register.

Loc's condition wasn't immediately clear Sunday. He wasn't listed publicly as a patient at any Des Moines hospital and his representative did not respond to phone or email messages according to various reports.

Tone Loc's whose real name is Anthony T. Smith seems to have a history of collapsing while onstage. The rapper best known for "Funky Cold Medina" and "Wild Thing," collapsed and experienced a seizure during a 2009 concert in Pensacola, Florida. Authorities said he had apparently overheated and was hospitalized after a similar incident in Atlanta in 2011.

Loc's most recent onstage fall took place in June 2012 from what his manager stated was heat exhaustion, and in August 2012 he suffered from an apparent seizure while watching a comedy show which was attributed to food poisoning.
