Voice Of Elmo Sued For Allegedly Luring Minor Into Crystal Meth Sex Parties: Former 'Sesame Street' Star Kevin Clash Allegedly Had Affairs With At Least Four Men

Kevin Clash, the man who created the iconic children's character of Elmo, is being sued by a man who claims when he was a minor, the "Sesame Street" star lured him into crystal meth sex parties.

Sheldon Stephens claims that he was 16 when he met the longtime voice of Elmo at a social networking function for actors, TMZ reported Tuesday.

Shortly after, Stephens said, the two began a sexual relationship that went on for a few years.

Stephens claimed Clash provided him with a chauffeured limousine. He also alleged Clash smoked crystal meth during their sexual encounters. He said Clash gave him poppers to intensify their sexual experience.

According to Stephens, the children's star's chauffeur was in on Clash's alleged plans. Stephens alleged the chauffeur would masturbate during the pairs sexual activities.

Kevin Clash played the voice of Elmo since 1984 on the 40-plus year running show, "Sesame Street." He resigned in November after Stephens originally alleged that the two had a sexual relationship that began when Stephens was 16-years-old.

"Personal matters have diverted attention away from the important work 'Sesame Street' is doing and I cannot allow it to go on any longer," Clash said in a statement after resigning from his job of almost 30 years.  "I am deeply sorry to be leaving and am looking forward to resolving these personal matters privately,"

Sesame Workshop also released a statement.

"Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding Kevin's personal life has become a distraction that none of us want, and he has concluded that he can no longer be effective in his job and has resigned from 'Sesame Street,'" the statement read.

Clash says his relationship with Stephens was between two consenting adults. Yet three other men have came forward with similar accusations toward the former voice of Elmo.

In November, Clash and Stephens reached a settlement, but the money was never paid. That's when Stephens decided to file the lawsuit.

During his time with "Sesame Street," Clash won 23 daytime Emmys as the voice of Elmo and one prime-time Emmy.
