Bart Simpson Found Guilty And Sentenced By Mr. Burns? 'The Simpsons' Comes To Real Life

Longtime running show, "The Simpsons" comes to life in England when a man called Bart Simpson was in court in front of a judge, named Mr. Burns.

The 56-year-old Barton Simpson from Eccleshall, Staffordshire, stood on trial in front of Mr. Recorder Burns at Warwick Crown Court, The Daily Mirror reported. He originally denied possessing a firearm at Birmingham airport on May 31 last year.

A court worker told The Daily Mirror "It's a bizarre coincidence that Bart Simpson is actually on trial in front of Mr. Burns but it'll proceed as any other criminal case would. There were some eyebrows raised when the court list was published."

Bart Simpson is one of the lead cartoon characters on "The Simpsons," which continues to air new episodes since its inception in 1989.

Mr. Burns is the evil owner of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plants and the boss of Bart's father, Homer.

In this trial, Mr. Burns holds the faith of the accused Bart Simpson.

The real Simpson is a company director and plead guilty for possession of a dangerous article on board an aircraft, CNN reported. He was ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work in the community and to pay a fine of 800 pounds ($1,200) to the court. He had previously denied possession of a firearm.
