Beyoncé Ad Campaign For H&M Launched: Blue Ivy’s Mom Unveiled As New Face Of H&M Summer Collection She Helped Design [PHOTO]

H&M just released a new Beyoncé ad campaign that shows the singer lounging on a beach in a sundress, short shorts, a bikini and other items from the store's summer collection.

H&M announced the new Beyoncé ad campaign on Thursday, March 21.

H&M said that the ads, shot in the Bahamas, attempt to capture the many sides of women, and Beyoncé.

In the announcement, Beyoncé said, "I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements - fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial."

Beyoncé, who helped design the collection, added "I've always like H&M's focus on fun affordable fashion."

H&M head designer Ann-Sofie Johansson said the clothes range from colorful swimwear pieces to "the perfect body-con dress," according to ET Online.

Items in the collection are "full of [Beyoncé's] own personal style" and are scheduled to be available in stores in May.

H&M's creative director, Donald Schneider, commented, "It was amazing to watch [Beyoncé] on the shoot make it all look effortless - a quality that makes her such an icon for women around the world. The campaign is the essence of Beyoncé and also the essence of H&M this summer," according to The Sun.

Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z have a daughter, Blue Ivy, with whom Beyoncé has lately shared the spotlight.

But Beyoncé will be a solo star once again, as her "The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" starts on April 15.
