"Obamacare Kills" Bachmann Declares In Fiery House Speech To Repeal Healthcare Reform

Obamacare kills. It will literally kill women and children. This could well be one of the toughest criticism on the landmark legislation accomplished by the President on his first term in office. Speaking at the House floor yesterday, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R) of Minnesota urged her fellow lawmakers to "repeal this failure before it literally kills women, kills children, kills senior citizens." Bachmann is a Tea Party favorite and a former Republican presidential hopeful.

She said that Congress should not go along with Obamacare, now known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. She states "Let's love people. Let's care about people. Let's repeal now while we can."

A few moments later, having just delivered a fiery and powerful speech declaring 'Obamacare kills', Bachmann was back on the floor. She added that Medicaid, the giant federal/state health entitlement program for lower-income Americans is a "ghetto."

Some suggest that Bachmann's rhetoric, though intense, seems to have gone too far. Her posturing, however, rings true and strikes a chord with many most conservative Americans unhappy with the current state of the economy and status of healthcare services in America.

Bachmann has introduced what is one of the first bills of the 113th U.S. Congress, titled "To repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and healthcare-related provisions in the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010."

Her speech declaring "Obamacare kills" is an intense rail against the president's health care reform, although she has been a consistent critic of the reform since its passing. Bachmann claims that Americans, particularly women, children, and the elderly, are paying more for less health coverage today.
