Gucci Mane Wanted After Nightclub Assault in Atlanta, 'Struck Me In My Head' With Champagne Bottle

Gucci Mane is wanted for assault by the Atlanta Police Department after an incident with a soldier at an Atlanta nightclub last week.

The police have an arrest warrant out for the rapper, whose real name Radric Davis, following the soldier's claims, is according to Channel 2. The solider reported he approached Mane in the VIP section of Harlem Night Ultra Lounge on March 15.

Then asked a security guard if he can take a picture with the rap star at which point, he reports Mane hit him over the head with a champagne bottle. The soldier only referred to himself as "James" in media interviews.

"Once he struck me in my head, I looked at him in a state of shock and looked at him like 'why? One of his friends hit me in the side of my face," said James according to Channel 2.

James was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital and received 10 stitches for the severe gash on his head.

James said he was in Atlanta for his birthday to celebrate with friends at the time of the assault and has no idea why the rapper assaulted him.

"I'm in the military. I wanted to get a picture with Gucci Mane," he was quoted by WSBTV as saying. "I was speaking to the security guard, and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle."

Police said the assault seems to appear to have been unprovoked and have since issued a warrant for aggravated assault.

"We do have an active warrant for Mr. Davis for aggravated assault," Lt. Jeff Cantin of the Atlanta Police Department told WSBTV. "So I'm sure after he sees this, I'm sure he'll want to reach out and contact us."
