Ted Danson's Daughter, Kate To Debut On 'CSI,' Shares It Was 'So Much Fun' [VIDEO]

Ted Danson's daughter, actress Kate Danson is to appear as a guest star on the upcoming CBS show "CSI."

The episode featuring Kate will air on April 3 which will feature Kate's character, lawyer Jill McDermott, to be adamant that the CSI is wrong about a person she is defending and ultimately square off against one another on the popular crime-solving show.

Kate tells WENN about working with her father, "I was really fortunate to get to work with him on CSI... It was so much fun. We never worked together like that."

"We did a short time together but nothing professional until now, so it was really great going head to head with him.

"I play a lawyer who knows she's in the right and the CSI team have done something wrong, so I come pretty hard at my dad and dig into him, which was a lot of fun to play. It airs April 3rd and I'm hoping it will be a recurring character."

Although this opportunity is to be one-time deal, TV Guide suggests the role may become recurring.

This news comes after Ted Danson to have been approved by CBS to continue starring in the show, after renewing his contract for another two years, according to Entertainment Weekly. Also returning to the show is Elisabeth Shue and other cast members George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Paul Guilfoyle, Robert David Hall, and others.

"The writers and producers have done an amazing job evolving CSI, reinventing the show around an incredible leading man in Ted Danson, the acclaimed Elisabeth Shue, and our beloved and talented core of original cast members," shared Nina Tassler, CBS Entertainment president.
