Minnie Mouse is getting a makeover now growing up and moving on to receive a designer makeover.

Minnie Mouse's trademark of polka dotted red dress, hair bow, and big yellow shoes has unveiled the new makeover at a catwalk show in Disneyland Paris on Saturday evening.

"Walt Disney was the one that actually designed Minnie. It's the first time an actual designer has come into the picture and designed a dress for her," Lanvin's designer Alber Elbaz said following the show.

"It was a great challenge and responsibility to do. I just wanted her to shine....I wanted to give her a crown in red, and the dress in blue, [a signature] for Lanvin."

The new makeover seemed to be well-received by the audience as the dress got applause at fashion show in Paris.

"It's definitely more mature. It looks a bit mother-of-the-bride," said spectator Matthew Gallagher. "I preferred the polka dots."

Fans will be relieved to know she'll be keeping her signature look of red and white for regular events, the dress was specifically for special Paris events.

Elbaz acknowledged that Minnie's new look might not be for everyone, "We're not here to transform people. We love her the way she is."
