David Beckham Falls While Visiting China Football Club, Starting New Ambassador Position On The Right Foot [VIDEO]

David Beckham falls after attempting to free-kick a ball while visiting the Wuhan Zall Football Club in China on Sunday, March 24.

British soccer star David Beckham's fall was recorded by the numerous members of the press attending the event, and was even caught on video, which can be seen below.

The media has joked that although Beckham is falling in the image, he still looks very handsome with a gust of wind blowing back his hair.

Beckham was wearing a suit and tie when he fell on the wet grass in front of young soccer players as he tried to kick the ball. Beckham was a good sport, immediately getting up and laughing off his fall.

Beckham was on a five-day visit to China when his fall took place. The China Football Association had invited Beckham to be the Asian nation's first international ambassador, according to BBC Sport.

"I'm excited by the prospect of promoting the world's greatest game to Chinese sports fans, as I've seen firsthand the growing interest of football there," Beckham said about his new position.

"This is a wonderful sport that inspires people across the world and brings families together, so I'm relishing the opportunity of introducing more fans to the game," he concluded.

Earlier this week, IMG's Adam Zhu said "Beckham's own story and his love of the game will inspire a new generation of children to play football in China so Chinese football will take its place on the world stage."

The 37-year-old soccer star, famous for his free kicks, recently signed with Paris St. Germain as midfielder.
