Paul Anka Says Jay-Z Treated Him 'Inappropriately' When He Reached Out To The Rapper For His Next Album 'Duets' [VIDEO]

The 71-year-old singer Paul Anka said he tried reaching out to Jay-Z for Anka's upcoming album, "Duets," but the rapper treated him "inappropriately."

When the singer who has been making hits since 1950 talked about some of the artist featured on his album, he said Jay-Z wouldn't return his phone call.

Anka told TMZ that he reached out to Jay-Z to join other features on "Duets" like Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Gloria Estefan.

"I wanted to put him in on a rap with Michael Jackson in the middle," Anka told TMZ. "I called him up, but Jay-Z totally blown me off. He won't answer my calls. He's inappropriate in his behavior."

Anka lent the rapper one of his famous hits, "My Way, " which he wrote for Frank Sinatra. Jay-Z spun his own version of the song, naming the track "I did it My Way," which was featured on "The Blueprint 2" album in 2002.

The original American version dates back to 1969.

Anka also told TMZ that he loves Beyoncé, who Jay-Z and her recently had their first child.

Other hits from Anka include "Put your head on my shoulder" and "Diana." He has collaborated with Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra and even wrote the theme to "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson."
