Kanye West May Name New Album 'I Am God’; Rumor Suggests Release Of Album In 2013

Kanye West was reportedly considering calling his upcoming album 'I Am God' according to BBC News.

BBC News reported that the album title is "half tongue-in-cheek." The news leak is the first confirmation that West is planning to release an album in 2013, according to the New York Post.

Questlove of The Roots apparently approves of Kanye West's rumored album title; he tweeted, "I Am God...(you'll get it later)"

West has drawn parallels between himself and religious figures before. In 2005, Kanye West released the single "Jesus Walks," which embraces his faith. West re-created the crucifixion, complete with a crown of thorns, on the January 2006 cover photo of Rolling Stone.

In February, West and Kim Kardashian imitated the famous 'Christ the Redeemer' statue of Rio de Janeiro.

However, a source allegedly told E! News that this report that Kanye West's next album will be titled 'I Am God' is not true.

This is not the only 'name' rumor following Kanye West this week.

Kanye West and pregnant girlfriend Kim Kardashian are allegedly considering naming their future baby "North" so the baby's full name will be "North West."

This, like the "I Am God" rumor, remains unconfirmed.

Kim Kardashian recently addressed the rumors that her child would have a name starting with a 'K,' like many of her relatives.

"I think it would be really cute cause Kanye and I are both K's...but half the names on our list aren't K's...we still have time, whatever feels right...Kanye being the father wants something that's unique."

Only time will tell if 'North' will be a unique enough name for Kanye West's progeny.
