A woman in Pennsylvania found $30,000 in clothes that were donated to her, but was honest enough to return the large sum of money.

Carol Sutor, the woman who found the $30,000 spoke with the Phillyburbs website about the incident. "I had to give it back," she said. "I believe in karma, whatever I do will come back to me, good or bad."

She discovered the money in a canvas bag hanging among a pile of clothes her cousin gave her. The clothes in which the $30,000 was found were from the son-in-law of Sutor's cousin whose mother had recently passed away.

When Sutor discovered the strange bag within the clothes she opened it up to find a surprising amount of money inside.

"So I unwrapped the bag, and there was another bag in another bag in another bag, one of those deals, you know? So I'm thinking maybe what's in here are important papers. So I opened up the last bag, and got a surprise," she said.

Inside the bag were several envelopes containing stacks of $100 bills. "At first I thought is this play money? Then I started looking. I said to myself, no, these are real hundred dollar bills. A lot of them," mentioned Sutor in her interview.

Keeping the money for herself, Sutor said, would mean she would "never be able to look her [cousin] in the eye again."

Sutor immediately called her cousin, Marlene Lattanzi, to come back and pick up the $30,000 found in the clothes.

"So she took the money and left. She calls her son-in-law, whose mother the money belonged to, you know, and tells him what happened. And you know what? Ten minutes later my cousin comes back and hands me $1,000 of the money. Her son-in-law said thank-you for returning his mother's money," Sutor said.

So as it would turn out, good deeds are rewarded after all.
